About Pleasant Union Church

Greetings,

In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I am grateful to be called to serve Pleasant Union Church as Pastor, an affiliate of the Global Methodist Church, which is a Holy Spirit inspired movement with the mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ and to spread scriptural holiness. Through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, the Global Methodist Church envisions multiplying disciples of Jesus Christ throughout the earth who flourish in scriptural holiness as we “worship passionately, love extravagantly, and witness boldly.”

Pleasant Union Church has been serving the Lord since 1827. We believe in mission and service in our neighborhoods and community, in our state, in our country, and throughout God’s creation. We send ministry teams to Armenia, Guatemala, Greensboro Urban Ministries, and to our neighbors around us.

We believe Christ came into the world to save us for Himself and to send us back into our realms of influence to serve the Lord by sharing the gospel and ministering to others. Jesus said, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned” (Mark 16:15-16).

We invite you to join us in our mission and service and apart from our Sunday Morning Worship offer a variety of small groups and programs for everyone.
