Pleasant Union Church is affiliated with the Global Methodist Church, which is a Holy Spirit inspired movement, supported by fervent prayers, faithful discernment, and a sure hope for the future. Its mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ and spread scriptural holiness across the globe. Through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, the Global Methodist Church envisions multiplying disciples of Jesus Christ throughout the earth who flourish in scriptural holiness as we “worship passionately, love extravagantly, and witness boldly.”

We read in Ephesians 4:1-13, “And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.” I am so glad to join in ministry with Pleasant Union Church, a church that is united in its mission and has so much to offer the community. My job as Pastor is to equip the saints, a term that does not refer to a special class of Christian but disciples of Jesus. It is to equip you for your work in the ministry of the church. Everyone is important in the body of Christ, and everyone has gifts to offer to help in our endeavor to make disciples. Pleasant Union Church is a place we can encourage one another through life’s struggles and grow together in Christ. That is what discipleship is all about, our spiritual formation into maturity so that we can be witnesses to the world and be the salt and light that Christ has called us to be.
